Terms of use

These terms cover your use of X-GenAI Folio at folio.x-genai.com and any site you publish with it. Folio is run by X-GenAI, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. You can reach us at hello@x-genai.com.

Using Folio

You don't need an account. Your draft is saved in your own browser, so clearing your browser data or switching devices will lose it unless you download a copy first.

Editing, previewing and publishing on the free templates cost nothing. Free sites show a small "Made with X-GenAI Folio" link.

What you can buy

• Pro template. Unlocks one Pro design for you to publish and download, with no badge. It's a one-time payment and it doesn't expire.
• All-access. Unlocks every template, including ones we add later, and includes 30 AI uses.
• AI pack. 25 uses of the AI features (CV import or design changes). Unused uses don't expire.

Prices are shown on the pricing section and include VAT where it applies. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews.

After you pay, your purchase is saved in your browser as a signed receipt. Keep the payment receipt email too. If you lose access to the browser you bought from, email us with that receipt and we'll restore your purchase.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Depending on where you are, Stripe may act as the reseller for your purchase. In that case your receipt comes from Stripe, and Stripe's terms for that sale apply alongside these.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Your content

Everything you add to your portfolio stays yours. By publishing, you let us host and show it at the address you chose, for as long as the site is up.

You're responsible for what you publish. Please don't publish anything that:

• is illegal, or breaks someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy
• pretends to be another person or organisation
• is meant to mislead, scam or harm visitors, including phishing or malware
• is hateful, harassing or sexually explicit

We can take a site down or give back a name if it breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why if we can reach you.

Site names

Names like yourname.x-genai.com are first come, first served. Some names are reserved. Publishing gives you an edit key that lets you update your site. Keep it safe, because we can't recover it for you. To remove a published site, email us from the address on the site or include your edit key.

AI features

The AI import reads your CV and fills in your details. It can make mistakes, so check everything before you publish. Don't upload documents you're not allowed to share. How we handle what you upload is explained in our privacy policy.

Availability

We work to keep Folio and published sites online and fast, but we can't promise they'll never be down. We may change or improve features over time. If we ever shut Folio down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can download your site.

Liability

Folio is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes and law

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Changes don't apply to purchases made before them. Dutch law applies to these terms. If you're a consumer in another country, you keep the protections your local law gives you, and you can bring a claim where you live.
